Sister Thérèse Louise Guénet received many gift for her 100th birthday. The one she treasured most was an invitation to join the Diocese of Cambrai’s pilgrimage to the Marian Shrine at Lourdes in the south of France. The theme of the Church's Year of Jubilee is “Pilgrims of Hope”.

Sister Odette Asheri, a Cameroonian sister who is now living in Belgium and Sister Yvette Sam, general councilor from Rome, accompanied Sr. Therese Louise. While Sister Therese Louise has been to Lourdes many times, this was the first visit for Srs. Odette and Yvette. Seeing the faith of so many sick pilgrims, with their belief in the healing power of God through the intercession of Mary, impressed Srs. Odette and Yvette, At the grotto where Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous, the sisters prayed and lit candles for the intentions of the sisters in France and Belgium as well as for Holy Union Sisters throughout the world.
