The 2023 Collegial Assembly recommended that the General Council begin a strategic planning process throughout the Congregation. In January 2025 representatives from Congregation areas joined the General Council in Rome to begin this work. Before they met in Rome, the group met on Zoom with Nicole Moran, their facilitator, to clarify the objectives of their work and draw up a timeline. This preparation helped when they came together in Rome to discern priorities and the steps to be taken. During the meeting the sisters met in small groups and came together as a whole group. The results of their work were presented to the Enlarged General Council in late February. The members of the Strategic Planning Group are Sisters Alice Arsenault (US), Constance Fonju (Cameroon) Maggie McCarthy (UK-Ireland) Prudence Takwa (Argentina) Agatha Tarimo (Tanzania). As they looked back on the meeting, here are reflections from some participants.

Sister Agatha Tarimo: From Tanzania During the meeting we looked at the reality of our life, mission and the signs of the times. We had time to share on the present and future of Holy Union. The Strategic Plan will serve as a tool to guide and help us prioritize in the coming years. |
